Christopher Stone is still working in his accountancy day job

The 19 year old Britain’s Got Talent hopeful amazed everyone when he performed ‘Maria’ – A West End classic when he first appeared on the show. Christopher stated that dispite world wide interest in his performance he cannot afford to quit his day job.

“I’ve been working non-stop. You’ve still got to pay the bills!, It’s very strange and very difficult. You have to try balance everything. Your work, your training, rehearsals.

It’s not easy to do, but it’s worth putting in those extra hours when you are on a show like this. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ll get there.”

“This is an experience and a platform. I want to hopefully build a career and platform beyond this.

“That’s how I’m looking at this. Not necessarily the prize at the end, but what being on the show as a whole means in the long run.”

Christopher Stone the Britain’s Got Talent hopeful has told how he was sadly bullied for years in school because he was different. He was repeatedly teased when he grew up in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Christopher from Manchester is a 28 year old who works in accountancy has already had over 140,000 YouTube hits for his performance of ‘Maria’ from West Side Story

“I was bullied from day one until the day I left. Day in, day out,” he told The Sun. “It started off being physical and became mental afterwards – but the mental bullying was worse by far.

“Bruises heal but the pain from mental bullying doesn’t just go away. You start to think to yourself, ‘Am I really an awful person? Am I that bad that people don’t like me?’ You start to doubt yourself and think you deserve it.

“They called me a girl, a poof, all sorts of things. I liked music, I was a freak – that’s what they thought. I don’t want to wallow in it. It’s not about that, but it was difficult. People who know me know what I went through.”

but despite Simon’s concerns Piers Morgan added “As you got into it, I could see that you were like, ‘This is my moment and I’m having an amazing time’, and I enjoyed it with you.”

Amanda Holden was simply blown away by his singing and commented “It was brilliant and I loved your voice.”
